Food Technical Manager
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Technical Manager to join our team and ensure the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance. Key Responsibilities:
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including UK food laws and hygiene standards.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring the business is always audit-ready.
Quality Assurance
- Develop and maintain robust quality assurance systems to guarantee consistency in products and services.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and investigations into non-conformance issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational processes.
Supplier and Ingredient Management
- Manage supplier approvals, specifications, and ingredient traceability.
- Oversee product labelling compliance to meet legal and client requirements.
Team Leadership and Training
- Lead and mentor the technical team to ensure they are trained in food safety and quality practices.
- Deliver training programs across the business to promote a culture of technical excellence.
Client Interaction and Problem Solving
- Collaborate with clients to address technical queries and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Support new product development (NPD) with technical expertise, including reviewing specifications and processes.
About You:
Experience
- Proven experience in a technical or quality management role within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, regulations, and quality assurance frameworks (e.g., HACCP, SALSA, BRC).

- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
