Electronics Engineer
Salary: £40,000 – £70,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Reading
Working Pattern: 9-day working fortnight with flexible working options
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join a skilled team working on critical electronic engineering projects. This role involves designing, testing, and fault-finding electronic hardware systems while analysing and assessing existing designs to ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, test, and fault-find electronic hardware systems.
- Analyse and evaluate existing designs, ensuring sound engineering principles are applied.
- Contribute to projects involving analogue circuit design, digital support circuits, and circuit simulation and modelling.
- Perform reverse engineering and detailed data analysis.
- Develop small form factor transformers, switch-mode power supply designs, and high voltage circuit considerations.
- Conduct failure mode effect analysis at the design/product and component levels.
About You:
Essential Requirements
- A degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Applied Physics, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Initiative, enthusiasm, and the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
Desirable Experience
- Analogue and digital circuit design.
- Circuit simulation, modelling, and fault-finding techniques.
- Knowledge of switch-mode power supplies, high voltage circuits, and electromagnetics design.
- Experience in reverse engineering and conducting failure mode analysis.
